This live course is evidence-based\, provi ding clinically relevant information and training the examination\, evaluat ion and intervention of female pelvic pain and bowel dysfunction. Labs offe r skills immediately applicable in clinic and include complete internal vag inal and rectal pelvic floor as well as external abdominopelvic examination and treatment techniques. Lectures include the anatomy\, pathophysiology a nd physical therapy evaluation of pelvic floor dysfunction related to pelvi c pain and bowel dysfunction in the female patient. Basic concepts of myofa scial release\, clinical application of modalities\, female sexual response and sexual dysfunction will be reviewed. Clinical decision-making and an i ntegration of skills acquired at CAPP Pelvic Health 1 will be included. You may choose between the regular 3-day course in the regular format\, the 2- day Bowel Dysfunction course\, or the 2-day Pelvic Pain course. All three c ourses qualify as Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Level 2. The purpose of t hese 3 variations is to allow you to focus on a specialty of your choosing.
