National Biomechanics Day

National Biomechanics Day is a world-wide celebration of Biomechanics in its many forms for high school students and teachers. Biomechanics is the fundamental example of STEM and STEAM educational initiatives. It combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics into one awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping, human-enhancing, creative endeavor.

Each year, the Program in Physical Therapy hosts local high school students and teachers for a fun-filled day with hands-on biomechanics-related activities. Our goal is to inform students about educational opportunities within WUPT while teaching them about possible careers related to biomechanics and movement science.
