Overview
VitalStim therapy is offered as a part of our speech therapy services at the @4240 location. Stroke, traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, and Parkinson’s are just a few of the many causes of swallow dysfunction. If you or a loved one are experiencing difficulty swallowing, you may benefit from VitalStim therapy with a trained professional. VitalStim is Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation: electrodes are placed on the face or anterior neck in order to activate your swallowing muscles. One of our speech language pathologists will work diligently with you to improve your function and safety.
