The WashU Medicine Female Athlete Program was designed to address the specific challenges faced by female athletes. We assist athletes at all levels in learning how to prevent and recover from injuries. Our patients benefit from a comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment approach. We don’t just treat an injury; we take a deep dive into contributing factors such as exercise mechanics, nutrition, recovery, mental health, and more to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients.

Our Approach
Our unique approach to movement analysis allows us to successfully treat complex impairments and issues previously resistant to treatment. Our therapists will prescribe an individualized therapeutic exercise program to address the factors contributing to your symptoms and optimize your movement. During each appointment, your clinician will work closely with you to implement the most effective treatment plan.
Every WashU Medicine physical therapist in our practice holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, and many have board-specialist certifications in specific areas of practice. Our clinicians are trusted experts in evaluating and treating movement impairments commonly associated with injuries.
