Overview

Female athletes can experience certain sports-related injuries due to the unique physical demands they face. These challenges can affect the body’s ability to recover, especially when training and competition are intense or unbalanced, which can lead to injury.

This can impact more than just performance. Many athletes report sleep issues, changes in eating habits, low energy, and decreased motivation for daily activities.

Our clinic offers one-on-one care with a Physical Therapist who understands the specific needs of female athletes. We focus on overall health and injury prevention, not just injury recovery, so you can return to the activities you love, stronger and more confident in your well-being.

Our Approach

We work in conjunction with your physician to determine the root cause of the issue and help to correct these issues to help avoid long term problems that result in time away from sport, exercise, or any activities involved in your everyday life. Every Washington University physical therapist within our practice holds a doctorate of physical therapy degree (DPT), and more than half hold board-specialist certification in a specific area of practice. Our clinicians are trusted experts in evaluating the movement system and in treating identified movement impairments that are commonly experienced with lower extremity injury.
